Job Description
  • Manage quotation and costing development process, sourcing, and price and terms negotiation  
  • Develop detailed product description documents that provide clear and thorough requirements for the key product features and capabilities  
  • Manage the product roadmap and lifecycle from concept to end- of-life 
  • Deliver technical presentations and create marketing product requirement documents, product data sheets, product pricing policy and application notes  
  • Deliver product training to internal sales staff as well as to reseller/OEM partners 
  • Help plan and support corporate trade shows and seminars 
  • Benchmark competitor products Obtain knowledge of current telecom market needs and anticipate future requirements through detailed market analysis and research, customer and partner meetings,and competitive analysis 
  • Works closely with direct and indirect sales managers, Sales Support, and executive team
 Responsibilities 
  • As a key member of the WCS team, the Product Manager will be responsible for driving product positioning, sales and marketing tools,identifying key customer opportunities, as well as creating sales and marketing tools and content. 
  • This position will focus on the enterprise market segment, driving the product launch efforts and developing business cases assessing new growth opportunities for the company within existing customer base and partners while also analysing and promoting new opportunities.
 Required Experience
  • Solid and diverse experience with telecommunications solutions, business model, needs, and applications for medium to large enterprise users  
  • In depth knowledge of voice services including local dial-tone products, metered long distance 1+,8XX toll-free, switched and dedicated calling types, Access, IP networking (DIA, MPLS, VPN, xDSL),Private Line, Ethernet, and other commonly distributed enterprise-class products and services  
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Marketing or Product Management experience with P&L responsibility  
  •  Direct telecommunications industry product management experience in the Bell Operating Company system  
  • Experience with more than one major company (LEC, CLEC or IXC) Direct knowledge and contacts with core suppliers including AT&T, Verizon, Level(3), Qwest, Global Crossing, CLEC’s and Bell Companies
Qualifications  
  • Four year degree accredited college degree in Business, Marketing or Finance 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to deliver presentations to customers via webinars and tradeshows/seminars  
  • Self-starter; team player; takes initiative; analytical; creative; possesses a strong business sense  
  • Requires strong knowledge of telecommunications voice and data networking and local dial-tone services
