Human Resources' Role with TEM
The Human Resource (HR) department handles all employee interaction. This includes prospecting for new hires, conducting new interviews and exit interviews. Anytime an employee leaves a company, an exit interview should include the collection of all company owned assets for future employee use. These types of equipments include, but is not limited to, wireless devices, laptops, phone line and/or a DSL line for tele-commuters.
Most HR departments do not have the tools necessary to determine what company assets an employee has and companies go on paying for an employees wireless device even after the employee has exited the company.
With the ENTERPRISE-View telecom and wireless expense management (TEM) software, the human resources department would utilize the tool to gain a "birds-eye" view into an employees inventory for the purpose of an exit interview. This would eliminate unnecessary charges for expensed inventory or services when an employee leaves a company. Additionally, companies can recycle the equipment for future employee use, therefore reducing further company expenses.
All the services cycling through the TEM are logged and tracked and are constantly updated to provide reports for equipment that are available for new or existing employees.
HR's job task would be more efficient since the TEM contains a feature within the employee form that can be set up to send an Email Alert that would instruct a designated person or department to disconnect all services attached to the in-active employee. The Email Alert can be set up to be sent to either the telecom manager or be automatically tracked by the WCS Request Manager in the TEM. The work-flow for the HR department would remain the same, but that extra step that the TEM provides will make the company cost efficient.
