Federal ProgramsTo help promote telecommunication services nationwide, the FCC as directed by Congress, developed the Federal Universal Services Fund (USF). WCS is an 8-year contractor to USF.
As a licensed federal distributor, WCS provides service to USF funded organisations. in the U.S., receiving subsidies on behalf of these clients. Currently funding is provided for the following:

Provides financial support to companies that provide telecommunication services in high cost areas of the U.S.

Ensures the nation's classroom and libraries have access to the vast array of educational resources through the telecommunication network.

Links health care providers located in rural areas to urban medical centers.
