Community Involvement
Community Involvement is an integral part of WCS culture and values. We recognize that the vitality of our company is linked to the health of our communities, and they cannot flourish unless we invest in their future.
Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Classic
2004 marks the 15th Anniversary of the Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic. Over $12 million dollars of donated funds has been distributed to worthwhile programs all over Florida. With the help of loyal and generous sponsors, participating celebrities, legions of volunteers and a dedicated staff, Chris Evert will continue to raise money to fund programs that ensure a future for at-risk children and their families.
While Chris has been busy with her own work at Chris Evert Charities, she also donates her time and efforts to other worthwhile programs including: The Special Olympics, The March of Dimes, The Martina Navratilova Youth Foundation, The Michael Bolton Foundation, The America AIDS Foundation, The Elton John AIDS Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis, The Red Cross and The U.S. Olympic Ski Team.
WCS has been a Premier Sponsor of this event and Chris Evert Charities for the past two years.

Kids in Distress
In 1976, a group of community volunteers identified abuse and neglect as one of the worst problems confronting our children. Dangerous limitations existed in the child protection system in Florida, and the rate and severity of child abuse/neglect reports were increasing. There was little or no service for these victims, and therapeutic intervention was not available.
Kids In Distress incorporated in 1979 as a private, non-profit agency with a goal of providing early intervention and effective prevention and treatment for young abuse victims and their families in South Florida. WCS has sponsored a variety of events for Kids in Distress to fight child abuse in South Florida.
Parkland Prowlers
WCS also supports the Parkland Prowlers, a 14-and-Under-Girls Youth Travel basketball league team. The donation year was in the form of supplying the team with jackets and warm-up gear.
