Calling Card Dialing Instructions Instructions for use with WCS Card (Access Number: 800-866-3691 and other numbers)
 
Direct Dial Instructions from a touch tone phone or using a pocket tone dialer.

From within the United States (including Guam , NMI, PR, USVI) or Canada: 
  • Dial 1+ the platform access number. Listen for the voice prompt.
  • Dial the 10 digit Card Number + the four-digit PIN Number. Listen for voice prompt. 
  • To place a call to the US or Canada: dial area code + telephone number.
  • To place an international call: dial 011 + country code + city code +telephone number. 
Note: Calling from Canada to International or US to International is only available if the customer requests activation. Calls may be made using calling card service to any International country available as a part of your standard WCS international service, providing the country is not blocked for fraud reasons.
 
From outside the United States (including Guam, NMI, PR, USVI) or Canada: 
  • Dial the toll-free primary access number for the country you are calling from. For a listing of primary and secondary access numbers or contact WCS at 888.940.5600.
  • Dial the security access code (if any) and listen for voice prompt or tone
  • Dial the 10 digit Card Number + four-digit PIN Number. Listen for voice prompt.
To place a call to the US or Canada: dial area code + telephone number.
 
To call between or within other countries, dial 011 + country code + city code + telephone number. If the call does not complete using the primary access number, or if there is no primary access number, please use the alternate access number. The alternate access number does not require the use of the security access code.
 
Dialing Tips  
  • To place additional calls, do not hang up; press and hold (#) for twoseconds.
  • If the telephone you are using does not allow the (#) key to be held down for two seconds, press (#) several times in rapid succession.Listen for the voice prompt and dial the next telephone number.
  • If at any time you make a mistake in dialing, press (*) to return tothe previous step.
  • Any additional toll charges levied by the local telephone company arethe responsibility of the caller.
  • Experienced dialers can dial before the prompts have completed. All prompts are interruptable.  
Operator Assisted Dialing Instructions:
 
From within the United States (including Guam, NMI, PR, USVI) or Canada, to speak to an operator, dial the toll-free access number on your calling card and either press (0) or hold for an operator.
 
From outside the United States (including Guam , NMI, PR, USVI) or Canada: 
  • Dial the toll-free access number for the country you are calling from.
  • If you dialed the primary access number: Dial the security access code (647). Listen for voice prompt or tone. Dial (0) to speak with an operator.
  • If you dialed the alternate access number: Listen for voice prompt or tone. Dial (0) to speak with an operator.
  • Give the operator your 10 digit Card Number + the four-digit PIN number.
  • Tell the operator the number you would like to call
  • The operator will connect you immediately.
Speed Dialing Instructions for use with Qwest’s Privately or Generically Branded Calling Card platform.
 
Programming Speed Dial Numbers:
  • Dial 1+ the platform access number -- Listen for the voice prompt.
  • Dial the 10 digit Card Number + the four-digit PIN Number -- Listen for voice prompt.
  • Press “1#” for Speed Dialing Options.
  • Select a Speed Dial Entry to listen to or to modify.
  • If no number is present, then enter a number to be programmed.
  • When Speed Dial programming is finished, press “#” to return to the Main Menu.
  • The Operator will connect you immediately.
Dialing a Speed Dial Entry:
  • Dial 1+ the platform access number -- Listen for the voice prompt
  • Dial the 10 digit Card Number + the four-digit PIN Number -- Listen for voice prompt.
  • Press “1 #” for Speed Dialing Options
  • Enter the Speed Dial Number that you wish to call.
